Is the Smart Document Camera Very Clever?
The document camera not only aids viewability for such things as science projects to the back of the classroom, zooming in on specific architectural detail on a model etc, but also allows microscopes to be group viewed, and use it as a modern-day over-head projector.
As the document camera is digital, unprecedented accuracy can be obtained from it, while pausing on a specific view, saving the image, annotating it and so on are all possible with the Smart Document camera and the Notebook software. Impressive! But this will surely be difficult to install and use? Nope, not at, just plug it in and away you go.
The camera comes equipped with a rotating arm which allows you to focus on non flat objects, and with and 5.2x optical zoom combined with an 8.0x optical zoom, allows for a high level of zoom to focus on even the smallest of details. And the really clever (you could say..."Smart") part which we liked is the auto adjust brightness which changes according to the surroundings, so you no longer have to worry about continually adjusting the brightness.
Summary
We really liked the Smart document camera. It's well featured, comes with a myriad of input / output options, it's easy to use, and should suffice for many needs.
