Smart Board 685ix

The SMART Board 685ix is the world's first ultra short-throw whiteboard system. This means that the system almost totally eliminates shadows cast onto the board, reduces glare from the projector light, and allows the crisp images to shine through. The white board surface is of a widescreen format (87" horizontally), offering a vast increase of 20% more surface area with which to work inside of, and ideal if you use a widescreen laptop.

The UX60 projector which is packaged with the whiteboard projects images from around 12" away, and sits just above the board. This makes installation incredibly easy, and quick, doing away with complicated ceiling mounts, ceiling cabling, and such problems. The only thing you need to worry about is the trivial matter of where you're going to position your computer!

The touch recognition surface of the board allows fingers as well as the pen to be used, this means that the presenter can quickly swap between writing and dragging objects around. Dragging with a pen never felt intuitive, but now that's corrected!

The board starts almost instantly at the press of a button, and the control panel provides you with easy access to switch between any other input devices you may have connected to the system.
